Calling all Foodies! I have come to discover a little gem that I have frequented upon the past couple of weekends here in New York. Now, everyone loves flea markets and I have visited a few myself but this is the Flea of all Fleas, Smorgasburg. Smorgasburg is a food flea market encapsulating amazing foods of all types for you to try, snack, and buy. This flea market does not disappoint. For the food lover, Smorgasburg is the place to be. The past couple weekends I have gone and my taste buds thank me for it every time. There’s all different kinds of food to discover from Korean BBQ (we rub you is amazing!) to cold noodle Ramen. The market consists of fresh produce, packaged and prepared foods from all different regions. The market has about 100 vendors for you to peruse stealing samples and taking in the wonderful smells each tent is cooking up. Smorgasburg is the perfect place to go to on a hot day (definitely get a Kelvin Natural Slush to cool off while you’re there) and it’s open rain or shine, the vendors are there to please (and they definitely do!). Another great thing about the flea market is its location, it’s right on the East River. After you’ve scooped up some food head over to the park or onto the dock to munch and enjoy the great view of the city. Smorgasburg is open every Saturday from 11-6pm between North 7th street and Kent Ave. Definitely a must visit!
